Roadshow for the Dutch Life Science and Health held in Beijing

Co-hosted by China Pharmaceutical Innovation and Research Development Association (herein after referred to as PhIRDA), Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines & Health Products (CCCMHPIE), China Association for Medical Device Industry and Beijing Pharma and Biotech Center, aiming to deepen the cooperation between China and Netherlands in life science and health sector, the Roadshow for the Dutch Life Science and Health was successfully held in Beijing on April 4. 18 representatives from Dutch life science and pharmaceutical enterprises and consultation institutions participated in the roadshow, some of which were the first time to came to China to seek cooperation with local enterprises to explore Chinese market. Hundreds of representatives, experts, and managers from PhIRDA members and Dutch life science industry also participated in the roadshow.

Mr. Bas van den Dungen, Director General Curative Care of Netherlands Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, gave the opening remarks and briefly introduced the development of Dutch life science and health and expressed warm welcome to the participants. Then Ms. Suze Kruisheer, Manager of Netherlands Task Force Health Care, said that she was full of confidence towards a deeper cooperation between China and Netherlands in life science and health sector.

Both the Chinese and Dutch participants had a productive talk on cooperation and some of them successfully reached initial intention for commercial partnership. The roadshow was a strong basis for the cooperation between China and Netherlands, which promoted the communication between Chinese and Dutch life science and health sector and provided a platform for pharmaceutical enterprises and investment institutions in China and Netherlands
